I’m currently focused on object isolation, in an attempt to highlight and explore the design details of ordinary items in our everyday lives. I consider the composition of each painting carefully, editing until the subject is featured in its best light, and exploring the materials, textures and construction until that seemingly banal object becomes worthy of art. 

In a time when we’re bombarded with negative news every day, I feel that there’s a magic in the mundane, that can help us to, not escape, but rather be present, and find joy and levity in the ordinary.
